The Willow

So unlike other trees

The Oak that stands high, brave & strong

The Maple that provides us with shade on a sunny day

The Cherry Blossom, that bursts with color at the first signs of spring

The fruit trees that nourish and sustain us

Or the Evergreen, bringing us joy at Christmas.

The willow bends low, limbs tentative, bearing no fruit or flower, moving with the wind

It is the miracle of nature that this tree still stands after the harshest weather Nature sends it

Like a woman, bending with the wind not yielding to it

Making it the mightiest tree of all!
