Hi, my name is Wendy and I am a woman who at the age of 65, found herself at a crossroads, a little worse for wear, trying to pick herself up, dust herself off and move forward.

My Only Weapon ~ Humor

I strongly believe that we are not meant to try to make it alone in this world. We, especially women, are here to take care of each other, to lend a hand when necessary and to ask for help when needed. As they say and I definitely believe “It takes a village”. So please grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and read on. 

Ten years ago, I was a happily employed married mother of three wonderful children. Yes, there had been a few bumps in the road, life wasn't perfect, but I could definitely say I was happy. Things were going well. And then life came along and knocked me off the well charted path I had planned for myself. I started writing because it helped me understand how and why everything happened the way it did. I have found that putting my thoughts down on paper is very helpful as it gives me a chance to see things from a different perspective. I hope that the sharing of these “words” will encourage others to do the same.
